Summary |
"If the people of Bucks County could turn back along with their calendars two hundred and fifty years, they would find in place of their now varied, civilized surroundings a vast forest teeming with wild life, and showing occasional old Indian fields and Indian villages and a few rude-hutted clearings of white settlers." The author, who is a girthright member of Chester Monthly Meeting of Friends, was graduated from George School June 12, 1934, at the age of seventeen; only daughter of the late Dr. Benjamin Mott Underhill, of Media, Delaware County, Pa.
